Rotterdam Photo Talks is an evening for photo enthusiasts and professionals, looking for perspectives that shed a new light on our contemporary image society. Whether the topics are trending, underexposed, or highly debated the program will investigate, various aspects of visual culture and the role of photography in it, through keynotes, Q&A's and presentations. This edition we continued to explore and be inspired by the notion of the photographic medium as tool of change specifically in regards to portraying but also influencing cultural and social structures in daily city life, especially since the term street photography doesn't cover the wide range of photographic perspectives on our urban environment.
We will announce the first speakers of this year's Photo Talks soon. International photographers and and keynote speakers from the industry will take the stage and provide the audience with inspiring keynotes and Q&A's on their visual projects and work as photographers.
The Photo Talks will be moderated by Frits Gierstberg, curator of the Nederlands Fotomuseum and programmed together with Photo Talks coordinator.
